According to Wine Spectator Magazine's Restaurant Wine List Award rules, Best of Award of Excellence award honors wine lists with depth and breadth in at least one classic region. The magazine also gives out a lower level award called Award of Excellence to another 2880 restaurants with well-chosen wine selections. Wine Spectator further recognized Yats Restaurant's strength in wines from Bordeaux region of France.
