wine rack dishwasher

I broke a glass in the dishwasher?
I was unloading the dishwasher, and most of the dishes were out. I pulled out the top rack rather quickly and some wine glasses that were standing tipped and the stem of one broke.
I put the two halves together to see how much glass was missing. Not much had chipped off, but I don't see any little pieces to pick up.
I don't want us to eat glass... I'm not really sure what to do. I was thinking about running an empty cycle, but won't the broken pieces just be swished around and stay in there? And what about the few dishes that were left?
Give the dishes a rinse under the tap, and maybe run a short cycle on empty. When the water drains, the glass will get trapped in the filter, so empty the filter and your dishwasher should be ready for action again.
