Although it is easy to put together, the wood is damaged & warped, leaving the wine rack less than sturdy.
Update – 1/20/09 : Sent Winsome the parts request form to replace the warped wood on 12/31/08. Rec’d the new parts on 1/16/09. This increased stability to an acceptable level for the price. Based on finished product, customer service turn-around time, price, and overall experience, I would increase my rating from 2.0 stars to 3.5 stars.

this is a simple well made wine rack that is nice looking and sturdy.
The price is right for a solid wood piece of furniture.
Assembly is easy. I took a chance and did not use the glue provided.
Its not deep and fit under my bar nicely.
The finish is nice and wood grain is pleasant.
We currently have it half full and the bottles nest neatly.

This product is built well, solid, and good looking. It’s easy to put together and it looks nice. I decided to sand it and stain it a color I like more but I think it looked good already. Actually I just wanted it to match my other furniture better. In my opninin as long as you put it together right, it will last forever. It also fits the wine bottles nicely with a tilt forward for keeping fine wines. It looks especially nice full of bottles. It’s not fancy but it completely satisfies the need to store your bottles proper and saves a lot of room. Also, the deal I got was amazing since I saw similar racks for double the price!

I am very critical of the furniture in my house, so I was anxious about this online purchase and not being able to see it in person first. However, when it arrived, everything was in order and nothing was scratched or damaged. Good start. Now onto the assembly. Very simple yet sturdy design. Literally 3 steps in the manual, but it will hold up well due to 4 wood braces using dowels & screws along the sides. The only thing I was concerned about was that the front frame was badly warped. When it all screwed together though, it mostly straightened out to where it’s not even noticeable. I expect, over time, the warp will completely flatten out. Also, for those that are wondering the exact finish, it is rubberwood or light teakwood. It matches perfectly with any rubberwood piece such as a rolling cutting board or in my case, some shelving. I was very happy that this matched and is mostly the same design. What a nice addition!

I purchased two of these for my father last year during Christmas. I probly spend about 20 minutes putting both together with an Allen wrench (drill bit with allen attachment takes half the time or less). They are sturdy enough, look good enough and hold plenty of bottles. My father liked them so much he bought two more.
