For its price (purchased before its recent 37% price increase), this wine rack was a satisfactory purchase. What I was most disappointed with was that the rack was designed for a bottle body length of eight inches or less. Since most wine bottles are larger than eight inches, they will not snugly sit in their slot and will therefore be slightly angled from horizontal. Also, since the rack is only 11.5 inches deep, I’m hoping that stability on a carpet will not be a problem.

The rack is easy to assemble. I had to use a hammer to pound in the six dowels (there is not sufficient spacing to use a rubber mallet). Finally, I noticed that there were several small scratches that showed the underlying wood.

If you are looking for a basic wine rack that is not bad looking, this is a good one. I just received it and will works fine for my needs. Easy to assemble. Will get one for another location. Remember that it is not a “high end” rack, but if you are looking for a 25 bottle rack it should meet your needs.

For the money, this is a very nice wine rack! It’s not flawless. There’s one piece of wood that had some glue marks and another where there’s a bit of light wood showing through. These minor flaws are only viewable if you look closely & can’t be seen from a distance. I am thrilled with the overall appearance!

The wine rack will easily hold 25 bottles. One thing I really like about it is that the odd-shaped bottles fit fine! It even holds half bottles well. I included a photo that shows mine about 80% full.

I purchased from Amazon, and it’s currently offering the best price w/free shipping. At least four other stores on Amazon’s site are selling this same wine rack. I recommend searching for “foldable wine rack” to check prices prior to purchasing.

FYI, the “product features” section of the description currently states that no assembly is required. That’s not quite true. There is some minor assembly & a hammer is needed. I’m lousy at putting things together, and it took me about 10 minutes. The wine rack is stackable, but you’d definitely want to secure it to the wall. Hardware for stacking is included, but dry wall screws are not.

With the amount of Diet soft drinks, bottled water, iced tea,and the occasional beer or two, it’s always such a pain in the butt to not have someplace easy to store cans and bottles of drinks, without having to fight those plastic do-hickeys or huge cartons everytime you want something to drink. This “wine rack” serves this purpose very well. the spaces in the slats are perfect for nestling cans or bottles ans you ca pyramid them on all the shelves as well. In addition to holding a lot of cans and bottles- it’s very rich looking and sturdy too.Very easy to assemble, and certainly well within everyones budget- We give it 5 STARS!

There are exactly two good things about this wine rack: the color (where it hasn’t chipped off before you even get it) and that it can hold wide bottles and champagne bottles without crowding.

That’s it.

Seriously, this thing is garbage. One of the shelves was so chipped up on one edge on arrival that i’d never have put this anywhere company might see it. I only bothered to put it together because i’d planned on keeping it mostly out of sight anyway.

The assembly is pretty simple, but don’t mistake simple for easy. All you have to do is fold down the two built-in shelves, put in six dowels, and slot the other three shelves in. Simple. Except that the dowels and their holes are such a mismatch that you have to really pound on it with a hammer, and doing that causes all of the other hinges and joins to come apart. By the time i had most of the dowels in (i never got the ones for the top shelf to go in far enough to seat the shelf properly), i had to re-set all the ones that had been factory-assembled.

If you make it through all of that, ending up with a wine rack so rickety you’re not sure will actually stay up, and make the same questionable decision i did to actually put your wine on it, you’ll find the last laugh: normal wine bottles actually don’t sit comfortably in the slots. You either have to have the base of the bottle up on the back edge of the shelf, or the top of the bottle up on the front edge. Wide bottles and champagne bottles sit well, but the standard shape for 750ml bottles end up perched at an angle.

I wouldn’t take another of these racks, even if someone offered it for free.
